DESCRIPTION

In a swift and brutal assault, Pandya forces storm the Chola capital and breach the palace gates, unleashing chaos in every corridor. Amid the flames and clashing swords, Princess Niraimathi, pregnant with the next heir to the Chola dynasty, is haunted by recurring dreams of Variyaan and his mystical mask. As the Chola stronghold collapses under the Pandya onslaught, Mathi—guided by her devoted maid Thamarai—escapes through a secret passage, cradling her unborn child and the last hope of her lineage.

Relentlessly pursued by Pandya soldiers and their savage hounds, she seeks refuge in an ancient shrine dedicated to Adivariyaan, the legendary protector. There, Bhairavan, the late emperor’s most trusted ally, entrusts her with a pouch bearing Variyaan’s symbol before sacrificing himself to shield Mathi from the advancing enemy.

Fleeing deeper into the wilderness, Mathi discovers the mask of Variyaan hidden within the pouch. Reality and her ominous dreams converge when the mask radiates a mysterious energy, hinting at its immense power. Cornered by the Pandya hounds, Mathi is saved by a majestic tiger, scattering the pursuers in a single, ferocious sweep.

In that moment, Mathi realizes the legend of Variyaan is no mere myth—it is her destiny to protect the mask and ensure the survival of her dynasty.
